This strong relationship enables approximately three-fourths of accounting majors to complete a part-time internship before graduating, with over 50% of students participating in a part-time internship during any given semester. Additionally, during their junior year, roughly 40% of accounting majors complete a full-time internship. Job Description
The W. Fielding School of Business is inviting applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting (rank commensurate with experience) with an interest and expertise in either financial or managerial accounting to begin in the fall of 2026. The school seeks an individual who strives to be an outstanding teacher and active scholar. The successful candidate will teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level in varying modalities, will be expected to publish in quality peer-reviewed journals, and will provide service to the University and community.

Requirements
- Ph.D. in Accounting or related discipline with expertise in financial or managerial accounting, preferably from an AACSB-accredited school. Doctoral candidates with an expected completion date of July 2026 are encouraged to apply. ABDs within one year of completion will be considered.
- Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and the mentoring of students.
- Candidates should have a well-defined research agenda and the potential to publish in quality peer-reviewed journals within their area of expertise.
