The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism is seeking a patient-focused Academic Endocrinologist (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Clinical Medicine) to collaborate with our highly skilled team. This academic opportunity provides balanced clinical and academic components with a well-established group of board-certified Endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, and certified diabetes educators. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications. There are opportunities to participate in and lead NIH-funded research, clinical trials, and specific quality and clinical initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Contributing to ambulatory and hospital-based care.
- Maintaining active engagement in our education and training missions.
- Participating in quality improvement, safety, and clinical projects in Endocrinology.
- Treating Endocrinology patients while accompanied by learners such as UC Medical Students and UC Medical Center (UCMC) Residents and Fellows.
- Participating in a pro rata amount of on-call coverage.
Minimum Requirements
- MD, DO degree or equivalent.
- Ohio Medical License.
- Completion of a 3-year Internal Medicine Residency.
- Completion of a 2-year Endocrinology Fellowship.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Board Eligible or Board-Certified Endocrinologist is ideal.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
