Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Pathology & Laboratory Medicine
Position Summary
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU Health Medical Group (IUHMG), are recruiting a pediatric pathologist to serve the pediatric patient population of Indiana.
The individual selected will join a growing team of experienced pediatric pathologists based at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis. The IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL) is located less than a mile from Riley and is home to a large faculty of subspecialized academic pathologists, affording easy access to clinical and academic collaborations. This position provides the opportunity to practice pediatric pathology at a dedicated children's hospital, while offering the unique flexibility to sign out on the adult service for those who wish to maintain other subspeciality expertise.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional diagnostic services comprising anatomic pediatric surgical and/or placental and perinatal pathology
- Provide on-call coverage and conference support with department faculty members
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical care team
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
- Support needs of rapidly growing pediatric divisions, including prominent pediatric GI service
- Support pediatric oncology service with emerging Precision Genomics

The position is available on the clinical track; academic rank is determined by qualifications and level of experience.
