Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology, Community Radiology

Position Summary

Northeast Community Position

Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Indiana University School of Medicine in partnership with Indiana University Health Physicians is seeking a radiologist to fill an open position in our Community Division covering IU Health Northeast Region that includes the Fort Wayne metropolitan area. This is a clinical track position. Excellent interpersonal skills are important in this role as well as a patient-focused approach. This is a unique opportunity to grow the radiology service line in a new geographic region while having the strength and support of Indiana's largest health system.

In addition to on-site assignments at several outpatient imaging centers, work-from-home opportunities are shared amongst the Community team. Additionally, construction has started on a new state of the art $550 million acute care facility to serve the region. Salary and benefits are competitive.

Candidates with excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in interpreting routine general radiology imaging studies is required with mammography a bonus but not required. Subspecialty neuroradiology, and musculoskeletal examinations are read by our subspecialty divisions but are also available for our Community Radiologists if they are comfortable with these subspecialty modalities and wish to maintain expertise. Coverage after 5pm is provided by an internal ER Radiology Division with minimal weekend call obligation.

The department hosts robust fellowship and residency training programs, and the candidate will have occasional opportunities to work effectively with and provide teaching for radiology residents and neuroradiology fellows.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum requirements include DO or MD, eligible for licensure in Indiana, and radiology board certified or eligible. Both fellowship and non-fellowship applicants are welcomed to apply for this position.
