The Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences at Coastal Carolina University announces a full-time tenure track position in Educational Leadership beginning August 2026. The department includes an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership program, as well as a Ph.D. in Education Sciences with specializations including Educational Leadership and Charter, Private, and Independent School Leadership. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with the chair, program coordinators, and other program faculty to teach Educational Leadership courses in the M.Ed. program and the Ph.D. programs. The successful candidate will also actively participate in curriculum and assessment development and analysis; provide advisement and mentorship to students; participate in program, departmental, college, and university governance; represent the program with external constituencies; assist with the recruitment and retention of students; and engage in relevant professional activities and scholarship. The faculty and administrators in the Spadoni College, along with professional staff across the University, will provide meaningful support for the successful candidate’s teaching and scholarship as elements of their personal and professional career development. Required Qualifications: Earned Ph.D./Ed.D. degree in Educational Leadership; Leadership experience in a K-12 school setting (traditional public schools and/or charter, independent, and private schools); Potential for excellence in teaching at the graduate level based on previous teaching experience; Potential for excellence in supporting doctoral research projects.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching courses in Educational Leadership at the Masters, Educational Specialist, and/or Doctoral level (including hybrid and online courses); Potential for excellence in teaching Charter, independent, and private school specialization courses; Demonstrated engagement in scholarly research or clear potential for contributing to the research mission of the program in Educational Leadership or a closely related field; Experience with coordinating programs and/or organizational leadership; Leadership experience in private, charter, or independent schools.
