This position will be responsible for teaching, developing, and implementing Health System Science in medical school curriculum which encompasses key areas related to healthcare, systems thinking, epidemiology, quality improvement in healthcare, patient safety, social determinants of health, population health, global health, statistics and health policy. This position has a full-time instructional mandate, and the recruited candidate must be committed to excellence in the teaching and mentoring of first- and second-year medical students, in addition to teaching within other graduate programs offered by the School of Medicine. The present MD curriculum at the school is of a hybrid nature, designed around the Problem Based Learning (PBL) modality, while also employing traditional lecture-based instruction. Minimum Qualifications: Terminal doctoral degree (MD, DO, PhD, MD/PhD, Doctor of Public Health, or equivalent) with specific training/experience in health systems science or a closely related field.
