ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF SMALL ANIMAL RADIATION ONCOLOGY- CLINICIAN EDUCATOR

The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences and Advanced Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in Small Animal Radiation Oncology. This position is in the Clinician Educator (CE) track at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on the candidate's experience.
The successful candidate is expected to have a history of or potential as an exemplary clinician, educator, researcher, and academic leader. CE faculty members provide 29 weeks per year of clinical service in the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital and participate in teaching veterinary students, interns, and residents. Clinical responsibilities include treatment planning, participation in oncology rounds, instruction, mentoring, and patient care.
Reappointment and promotion require excellence in clinical activity, teaching, and scholarly productivity, such as original research publications. This is a non-tenured position with reappointment every three years and promotion required by year nine. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes full University benefits.
The candidate will join PennVet's Radiation Oncology service, which includes various staff and plans to start a residency program. This position suits junior faculty interested in research and clinical practice in a multi-specialty academic center. The program offers oncology services, clinical trials, and research support through dedicated centers.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a veterinary degree and be certified or eligible for certification in the American College of Veterinary Radiology-RO.
