Assistant/Associate Professor, Yale Center for Research on Aging (Y-Age)

The Department of Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine is seeking applications a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level (Ph.D. or M.D./DVM/Ph.D.) to build an interdisciplinary research program in the new Yale Center for Research on Aging (Y-Age). The Center is largely housed in the Department of Pathology, but has strong ties with other Yale School of Medicine Departments and Centers and the Yale University community. The position will be supported by a generous startup package and resources of Yale.

Successful candidates will be expected to establish a competitive and impactful research program in the basic biology of aging, but with an eye on translation of findings into the chronic diseases of aging in the broad areas of Inflammation, Immunosenescence, metabolism, nutrition, neuroimmunology, epigenetics, senescence or cancer. Other responsibilities will include contributions to Yale’s teaching and service missions and, if appropriate, its clinical programs.
