The Section of Endocrinology is seeking an outstanding candidate at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Academic Clinician track at Yale Medical School (YMS). Candidates should be able to demonstrate outstanding skills in patient care and clinical teaching and must meet the requirements for clinical privileges at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH). YNHH is part of the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS), which includes a network of 5 hospitals across Connecticut and Rhode Island, Yale Medicine, and the New England Medical Group. Collectively, YNHHS records over 3.6 million outpatient encounters and over 150,000 inpatient discharges per year providing a rich and diverse referral population. Successful applicants will have experience in all aspects of clinical endocrinology, interest in developing a robust inpatient and ambulatory practice, and excitement to practice in a teaching environment. Over time, academic clinicians at YMS are expected to develop specific areas of disease expertise and regional and national prominence in their field of interest. Current areas of interest include diabetes and obesity, bone and mineral metabolism, lipid disorders and endocrine neoplasia. Position includes protected time for academic development.
