About Academy of Future Education (AOFE)
The Academy of Future Education of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is an educational innovation ecosystem that focuses on research, exploration, support, and dissemination of philosophy and best practices for future education.
Roles & responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to the university regarding enhancing students’ learning experience, and to AoFE and LIFE in programme and projects development for supporting and guiding high impact learning;
- Design and deliver teaching and learning projects and activities of lifelong learning education, including credit and non-credit modules at both UG and PG levels as well as optional programmes for XJTLU students and the wider community of learners;
- Advise on the designing and development of projects and activities of LIFE from the perspective of learning enhancement;
- Communicate and collaborate with colleagues and units at XJTLU and external partners for the development and delivery of lifelong learning education at different levels;
- Supervise PhD students and Master’s students from the programmes of Academy of Future Education;
- Conduct academic research in education, especially lifelong learning education;
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in fields related to learning enhancement and learning science;
- Professional and rich experience of leading and supporting the enhancement of students’ learning at the higher education level;
- Strong academic record and background in research of learning enhancement;
- Rich experience of designing and delivering projects and activities of learning enhancement
- Rich experience of teaching at the university level with positive feedback from students and other stakeholders;
- Passion for working with the students by offering guidance and advice on the development of their capacity of lifelong learning;
- Workload expectation: 40% teaching, 40% practice or research, and 20% service
