Offer Description
The Director of the Institute of Intermedia at the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznan hereby announces an open competition for the position of Assistant at the Institute of Intermedia. The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 119 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and Sections 104–109 of the UAP Statute.

Skills/Qualifications
- a Master’s degree (M.A. / M.F.A.) in the field of art,
- teaching experience is preferred, as well as strong teamwork and task management skills,
- knowledge, experience, and technical proficiency in the basics of audio and video production, operation of image and sound editing software, and the basics of photographic documentation of artworks,
- the applicant should demonstrate significant creative achievements, particularly in the field of arts utilizing sound and image media.

- a statement on foreign language proficiency,
- a declaration that the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań will be the primary place of employment,
- a declaration (to be submitted upon signing the employment contract) of affiliation with the field of art / academic discipline: fine arts and art conservation,

Eligibility criteria
The above-mentioned documents must be submitted to the Human Resources Department of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań, Al. Karola Marcinkowskiego 29, 61-745 Poznań, from 13 July 2026 until 10 September 2026 by 2:00 PM, or sent electronically to the following e-mail address: Natalia.Kirstein@uap.edu.pl. The date of receipt shall be decisive.
Selection process
The competition procedure comprises:
- Analysis of the documents submitted by the candidate,
- An interview with the candidate, including:
- a presentation of works of individual or joint/co-authorship with a significant contribution from the candidate (or documentation thereof), particularly within the discipline in which the candidate intends to hold the position,
- a presentation of teaching and organizational experience.
- Evaluation of the candidate by the committee in terms of meeting the competition requirements.
The Competition Committee will evaluate the candidates' knowledge of art, artistic achievements, and aptitude for teaching, and will subsequently select the individual who will be entrusted with the position of Assistant at the Institute of Intermedia. The Committee reserves the right to declare the competition unresolved.
The candidate selected through the competition will be required to obtain a relevant certificate of fitness for work in the given position. In the event of failure to obtain such a certificate, the University reserves the right to select the candidate who ranked next in the competition.
Additional comments
Conclusion of the competition: the interview will take place on 16 September 2026 at 10:00 AM, in room 206, building C, at Pl. Wielkopolski 9 in Poznań. In the event of any changes, the candidates will be notified by telephone. Candidates will be informed of the competition results on 17 September 2026 via e-mail.
The Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan reserves the right to invite only selected candidates for an interview without informing the remaining applicants, as well as the right to notify only the successful candidate of the final outcome.
The decision regarding the employment of a candidate is the exclusive and sovereign matter of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań and does not entail any obligation to provide a justification.
