Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain overall Sports Medicine Department including injury care and prevention, injury evaluation and management, educating of student-athletes and coaches.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for student-athletes.
- Ensure proper injury and treatment tracking of student-athletes.
- Establish and maintain good communication with team physicians (Orthopedic and Sports Medicine).
- Contribute to the growth of the department by bringing new ideas about Nutrition, Cardiac Health, Mental Wellness, Concussion research, etc. to the Sports Medicine staff.
- Assist in the management of the day-to-day operations of the athletic training room.
- Responsible for proper coverage during athletic participation of student-athletes, including practice and game coverage, both home and away of assigned teams.
- Assist with insurance claim filing process as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of student-athlete injuries and illnesses.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Athletic Training
- Certification through the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
- Two years of experience in the athletic training profession.
- AED/CPR Certified (Professional Rescuer).
- Error-free written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Two years of experience working in Division I or Division II collegiate athletics.
- Knowledge of SportsWare injury tracking system.
- Experience maintaining files and documentation.
- Experience with insurance claims and filing process.
- Experience with maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.

Salary for Announcement The anticipated hiring range is $50,000 - $60,000. This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
