"Assistant Coach, Crew"

Summary

Skidmore College’s Athletic, Fitness and Recreation Department invites applicants for a part-time, regular (9 month) Assistant Rowing Coach position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in daily practice preparation and training, coaching, recruiting prospective student athletes for the Men’s & Women’s Programs, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. The assistant will communicate and develop a rapport with student-athletes, families, faculty, and alumni.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of three years collegiate/high school rowing coaching and/or rowing experience is required. Candidates must have strong organizational skills, communication and computer skills. A valid driver’s license and CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) are required. NYS Boating License (or willingness to obtain).

Anticipated start date will be January 20, 2026.

Anticipated salary will be ~$10,000.00
