Assistant Coach, Strength and Conditioning
Position Summary
The assistant coach for strength & conditioning is responsible for assisting in all aspects of administration and operation of a nationally competitive Division III collegiate athletics program. Cortland Athletics fosters a student-athlete environment conducive to excellence in athletics, academics, and personal growth through diverse and inclusive experiences at the university and the community.
This is a part-time level 1, 66% coaching position with a 9.5 month obligation (8/15-5/31). The salary for this position is $1,377.52 biweekly.

Major Responsibilities
This position is responsible for assisting the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in all aspects of Strength and Conditioning.
- Provide scientific based training for 3-4 teams as well as assist with football strength and conditioning (teams assigned based on the successful candidate).
- Supervise and assist in the operations of the athletics weight room facilities.
- Maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Assist with intern learning program as assigned.
Functional and Supervisory Relationships
Reports to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in related field.
- CSCS, CCSC or USAW certification.
- Demonstrated experience in strength training.
