Assistant Coach - Women's Basketball

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting the program through practice and game-day decisions, player skill development, and performing administrative duties as assigned by the head coach.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist the program through practice and game-day decisions
• Scout opponents
• Develop training drills for player skill development and lead positional portions of practice
• Identify, evaluate, and cultivate prospective student-athletes from throughout the country
• Attend departmental meetings, programs, and clinics
• Assist with fund-raising
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 2-3 years coaching experience required, preferably at a Division I program
• Collegiate playing experience preferred
• Thorough knowledge of recruiting practices and understanding of Conference and NCAA regulations
• Previous experience with budgeting procedures and strong communication and management skills required
• Must be available to travel and work evenings and weekends as required
