Assistant Curator Part-Time (Temporary)
Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Assistant Curator for the Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music. This is a temporary position.
This position will report to the Curator and will assist with exhibits and collections to ensure that new acquisitions to the collection are properly cataloged, handled and stored and to see that work-flows are maintained; help to gather materials to post on all social media platforms to reach a wider audience through consistent messaging and provide analytical reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with ensuring that new acquisitions to the collection are properly cataloged, handled and stored
- Assist with cataloging, identifying, and storing photographic images and recorded materials
- Assist in curating exhibits and installations
- Compile information for text panels and labels and assist with writing interpretive content
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Educational background in music history and strong research skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Ability to maintain records, documents, and schedules associated with the position
- Strong verbal and written communication, including creating content on social media that is engaging and compelling
- Must have a very strong sense of responsibility and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically able to routinely lift up to fifty pounds from varying heights
Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledge of Archive software
