Job Description
As the chief conduct officer for the Lincoln Memorial University main campus, the Assistant Dean of Students is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of the day-to-day operations of Office of Conduct & Community Standards by administering, coordinating, and upholding the student conduct system through the Railsplitter Community Standards Guide (Student Code), procedures, and policies established by the university. The Assistant Dean of Students shall contribute to the enhancement of the student experience by providing leadership, strategic management, and oversight in the areas of Orientation and Transitions and Residential Housing in accordance with the divisions mission and strategic goals. Additionally, the Assistant Dean of Students shall oversee the coordination of the UACT 100 course and share oversight of the design and implementation of Parent and Family programming and student leadership awards and recognition programming with the Dean of Students & Associate Dean of Students.

- Masters degree in Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field

Job Duties
- promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;
- promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students;
- represent the Division of Student Services on University committees;
- model positive leadership and effective operations within the Division of Student Services;
- provide strategic direction and oversee of the day-to-day operations of Office of Conduct & Community Standards within the Division of Student Services;
- coordinate the UACT 100 course (including but not limited to recruiting & interviewing faculty and staff to serve as instructors & facilitating instructor training);
- design and implement Parent and Family programming;
- Assist in the planning of student leadership awards and recognition programming;
- establish robust relationships with students;
- serve as a student advocate;
- report data for Outcomes Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness reports;
- complete required institutional, program accreditation and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of University programs;
- annually assist with Student Handbook updates;
- perform other duties as assigned.
