Assistant Director Community Engagement - 3355
The Assistant Director strengthens UNC Pembroke’s partnerships with the broader community while advancing student success through resource connection, engagement opportunities, and collaborative initiatives.
A primary focus of the role is community partnership development and engagement, which involves building and maintaining relationships with agencies, nonprofits, businesses, and government organizations to support service-learning, engagement, and basic needs programs. The Assistant Director will serve as the main liaison between the university and community partners, organize events such as partnership fairs and resource sessions, and manage community partner profiles through UNCP Serve.

This includes developing and implementing systems to proactively identify and refer students to appropriate resources, facilitate a cross-agency network that connects students with resources and service opportunities while addressing resource gaps, and oversee student outreach efforts that increase awareness and utilization of support services.
The position will develop and offer opportunities for community partners to engage with students and support efforts to secure donations, sponsorships, and other forms of support for community engagement and basic needs initiatives. The Assistant Director will supervise student leaders and interns who support outreach, engagement, and resource connection efforts.
