Position Details

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Campus Recreation, the Assistant Director of Fitness & Rec Programs is responsible for direct oversight of the Campus Recreation sports, fitness and wellness programs & activities administered by the department.

Essential Duties Summary

In collaboration with the Associate Director, develop, implement, and assess diverse and inclusive sports and fitness programming for the Campus Recreation department.
Oversight includes group fitness, wellness programs and events, personal training, and recreational sports programs.
Assists with the preparation, plans, and projections of expenditures for all supervised area budgets.
Collaborates with internal and external entities (alumni/community) to provide fitness & wellness-based programming to a variety of users.
Provides oversight for risk management within program areas.
Performs other responsibilities as required.

% FTE: 1.0

Hiring Range: $50,035.36 - $63,795.08

Education: Bachelor’s degree.

Required Licensing/Certification: Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and/or Group Fitness Certification; American Red Cross CPR / AED Certified Instructor (or able to obtain within 60 days); Preferred Personal Trainer or Group Fitness certification from a nationally accredited association; Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.
