Assistant Director of Fitness & Recreation Programs
Position Details
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Campus Recreation, the Assistant Director of Fitness & Rec Programs is responsible for direct oversight of the Campus Recreation sports, fitness and wellness programs & activities administered by the department.
Essential Duties Summary
- In collaboration with the Associate Director, develop, implement, and assess diverse and inclusive sports and fitness programming for the Campus Recreation department.
- Oversight includes group fitness, wellness programs and events, personal training, and recreational sports programs.
- Assists with the preparation, plans, and projections of expenditures for all supervised area budgets.
- Collaborates with internal and external entities (alumni/community) to provide fitness & wellness-based programming to a variety of users.
- Provides oversight for risk management within program areas.
- Performs other responsibilities as required.
% FTE: 1.0
Hiring Range: $50,035.36 - $63,795.08
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Required Licensing/Certification: Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and/or Group Fitness Certification; American Red Cross CPR / AED Certified Instructor (or able to obtain within 60 days); Preferred Personal Trainer or Group Fitness certification from a nationally accredited association; Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.
