We are seeking a proactive Administrative Assistant to join our small office team to provide administrative assistance to our scientists and contribute to the efficient running of the Division.
This is a varied role which includes daily interaction with a broad range of internal stakeholders including research scientists and operational staff. You will be the first point of contact in the office for members of the Structural Studies Division, providing guidance and information across a number of key areas, including onboarding and orientation for new staff.
As the successful candidate, you will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English or equivalent (education to A level or beyond would be an advantage). Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role. You will be proficient in standard IT office packages and adept at using online systems. You will have a flexible approach to working and are able to deal with tasks as they arise in an organised manner.
Experience of working within an office environment would be advantageous. However, if you are beginning your career in administration then this position would be an excellent opportunity to gain experience and develop your skills.
The assistant role is a permanent appointment, which could be full-time (36 hours per week) or part-time (80% fte).
