This announcement is for the position of Assistant (F/M) within the research staff of the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Engineering, as the primary place of employment.
Eligibility for the competition is limited to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, Item 1571, as amended).
The tasks of the assistant (F/M) will include planning, organizing, and participating in the Department’s research and teaching activities, as well as organizational work on behalf of the University.
The person hired as an assistant (F/M) will be responsible for teaching selected courses, including classroom exercises, and laboratory, totalling at least 240 hours per academic year for both full-time and part-time programs. The scope of assigned courses will include subjects in the fields of organic chemistry, although the final selection will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and educational background, as well as the department’s teaching needs.
The candidate is expected to participate in activities related to the organization of teaching (e.g., developing and preparing laboratory exercises and laboratory instructions).
In addition, the successful candidate will engage in scientific activities. The candidate is expected to actively participate in the research carried at the Department and will undertake activities to obtain funding for research from national and international sources.
The candidate is expected to demonstrate creativity, commitment, consistency, responsibility, the ability to work on specific tasks and as part of a team, and a commitment to continuously improving professional competencies.
Specific Requirements
The candidate is required to meet the following qualification criteria:
- the master's degree in chemistry, chemical technology, chemical engineering, or a closely related field,
- teaching certification or a willingness to complete a teaching certification course, as well as an aptitude for teaching students,
- knowledge of English sufficient to allow for scientific research and the preparation of publications,
in the case of foreigners, the command of the Polish language, spoken and written, is required to the extent that enables conducting classes with students.
