Assistant (F/M) in the Teaching Staff Group, Chair of Transportation and Logistics Systems (L-6) at the Faculty of Civil Engineering

- Essential requirements:
- professional title of Master of Science in Engineering in the discipline of civil engineering, geodesy and transport or a related discipline
- documented knowledge of English at a minimum B2 level
- significant achievements during studies or in previous professional work
- designation of Cracow University of Technology as the primary place of employment
- fluent command of Polish, both spoken and written
- pedagogical qualifications
- Additional requirements:
- research interests related to transport and logistics
- organizational skills and ability to work in a team
- teaching experience in conducting practical classes, project-based classes or laboratory classes
- ability to prepare teaching materials and use modern teaching methods and tools
- knowledge of the following software: VISUM, AIMSUN, AutoCAD, AnyLogistix, FlexSim, Ouster Studio and Excel at an advanced level
- documented experience in implementing international research projects
- analytical thinking skills and ability to work with data
- experience in research, implementation or educational projects will be an additional asset
- experience in cooperation with the socio-economic environment will be an additional asset
- experience in conducting scientific activity and publication record in the field of transport, logistics or a related area
- Scope of tasks performed/job description (responsibilities and entitlements):
- conducting teaching classes (practical classes, laboratories and projects) in the field of transport and logistics
- preparing and improving teaching materials and developing modern teaching methods
- supervising student projects and supporting the activities of student scientific clubs in accordance with the employee’s competences
- participating in the scientific activity of the Chair, including preparing publications and participating in research projects related to the Chair’s field of activity
- participating in organizational work of the Chair and faculty, as well as in events promoting the Transport and Logistics programme
- improving professional qualifications, including preparation for obtaining a doctoral degree
- Description of working conditions, we offer, among other things
- remuneration for work:
- fixed components of remuneration in the amount of:
- base salary ranging from 5 900 PLN to 6 100 PLN.
- seniority allowance depending on length of service, i.e., from 3% to 20% of base salary
- variable remuneration components specified in the CUT Employee Remuneration Regulations
- base salary ranging from 5 900 PLN to 6 100 PLN.

- document confirming knowledge of English and, additionally, in the case of foreign nationals, knowledge of Polish
- declaration on selecting Cracow University of Technology as the primary place of employment
Employment will take place after a competitive selection process in accordance with Chapter VI. Stages of the recruitment process, OTM-R policy consisting of:

CUT employee remuneration regulations
Cracow University of Technology reserves the right to contact candidates (F/M) whose applications meet the necessary requirements and have been rated highest by the Selection Committee. Information on the results of the competition will be published on the CUT’s Public Information Bulletin website and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education website.
The submitted documents may be collected at the Secretariat of the Chair of Transportation and Logistics Systems, building W-15 (Huston), 2nd floor, room 231e (phone +48 12 628 30 93), between 9:00 and 13:00 on 27–29 September 2026. Documents not collected within this period will be destroyed by a committee.
Cracow University of Technology reserves the right not to resolve the competition without stating reasons.
The result of the competition is not tantamount to the employment of the candidate (F/M), but is only a recommendation to the Rector. The final employment decision rests with the Rector.
