Objective
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Coach assigned position group, assist coaching special teams, student/athlete recruitment and financial aid of student athletes. Complete all duties as assigned by Head Coach.
Required Quals Summary
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or relevant certification. Coaching experience at the Junior College, University or High School level.

Principal Accountabilities
- Coach assigned position group
- Assist coaching special teams: punting, kick-off returns, field goals, and extra point.
- Assist the student-athletes complete all admission and financial aid paperwork.
- Student recruitment: works the assigned area of high schools for football prospects.
- Attends and actively participates in all required meetings and trainings.
- Assists head coach with providing effective supervision of football student athletes in the generic areas of practice, competition, travel and life management, throughout their entire experience at Blinn College.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or relevant certification. Coaching experience at the Junior College, University or High School level.
Minimum Competencies
- Ability to travel with the team and/or coaching staff to games, events and recruitment.
- Ability to effectively motivate, teach and supervise student athletes.
- Ability to maintain a professional relationship with students and peers.
- Ability to fully adhere to all NJCAA and Blinn College policies, procedures, rules and regulations to ensures compliance.
- Ability to fully comply with Blinn College policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge and practical application of policies, procedures, rules and strategies related to intercollegiate football or related football athletics.
- Current drivers license in good standing with the ability to travel on behalf of the college.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree Coached at JUCO level College playing experience Defensive Playing or Coaching experience
Preferred Competencies
- Proficient using Hudl software or other video software.
- Knowledge of the Southwest Junior College Football Conference rules and regulations.
