The competition is related to research in the area of:
- design, synthesis and characterization of electrode materials intended for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs),
The candidate should hold a Master’s degree and have experience in conducting scientific research in the discipline of materials engineering, in particular in the field of design, synthesis and characterization of electrode materials for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). The candidate should demonstrate aptitude for scientific and teaching work and have documented scientific achievements obtained during higher education, education at a doctoral school, doctoral studies or professional work, taking into account the limitation resulting from Article 209(10) of the Act on Higher Education and Science.
The candidate is expected to have experience in the implementation of grant-funded research projects, knowledge of advanced research techniques, as well as conference activity and participation in international research internships. Experience in working in an international research environment is of particular importance, including cooperation with foreign scientific institutions, conducting joint research, and exchanging knowledge and competences in the field of functional materials. Practical ability to synthesize oxide materials using high-temperature methods, wet chemistry methods and electrospinning is also important. The candidate should have experience in the characterization of functional materials using, among others, XRD, SEM-EDS, XPS, Raman spectroscopy, EIS with DRT analysis, TG, BET and synchrotron techniques, including X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). The ability to prepare applications for access to national and international research infrastructure, including the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre and infrastructure available within the CERIC-ERIC consortium, is also required. Documented knowledge of English at least at B2 level, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe, is required.

- experience in preparing applications for access to advanced research infrastructure and obtaining beamtime at national and international research infrastructures, including SOLARIS and within the CERIC-ERIC consortium,
- documented knowledge of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), in particular in the field of design and investigation of electrode materials,
- documented experience in the development, synthesis and characterization of electrode materials for reversible solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), including both air/oxygen electrodes and fuel electrodes, with particular emphasis on in situ exsolution of catalytic nanoparticles from oxide matrices,
- ability to prepare oxide materials using high-temperature methods, wet chemistry methods and electrospinning,
- knowledge of research techniques used for the characterization of functional materials, in particular: XRD, TG, SEM-EDS, XPS, Raman spectroscopy, EIS with DRT analysis, iodometric titration, dilatometry and BET specific surface area measurements,
- documented participation in international research internships lasting at least one month,
- documented participation in scientific conferences,
- English language proficiency at least at a B-2 level,
- required knowledge of Polish (candidates who are not Polish citizens should submit a certificate of Polish language proficiency at a minimum C-1 level).

- experience in conducting measurements using advanced research equipment, in particular TEM and synchrotron techniques, including X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), as well as the ability to analyze and interpret the obtained results,
- experience in conducting teaching classes.

The recruitment procedure is divided into two stages:
- formal assessment – assessment of the completeness of the application documents and compliance with the requirements specified in the Act, the AGH University Statute, and the competition announcement,
- substantive assessment – an objective and merit-based assessment of applications submitted by candidates who have successfully passed the previous stage; interviews with candidates may be conducted at this stage (either in person or remotely).
The candidate has the right to appeal against the competition results within 5 working days after receiving the notification.
