Offer Description
Scope of duties (full-time, on-site assistant position):
- a. delivering teaching sessions,
- b. scientific and research collaboration in the field of foundry engineering within the department,
- c. scientific and research collaboration with academic and industrial organisations,
- d. the design and manufacture of three-dimensional components using foundry methods, 3D printing and CNC machining,
- e. preparing and carrying out physicochemical and mechanical tests,
- f. preparing and carrying out tests in the field of non-destructive testing and metrology
- g. analysing and interpreting the test results obtained, and preparing scientific publications and reports on the research work carried out.

- The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering
- The candidate must possess teaching competences, as evidenced by completion of a course or programme in teaching development designed to prepare them to deliver academic lectures,
- evidence of research achievements in the field of materials engineering, specifically in foundry technology, confirmed by publications in international peer-reviewed journals (at least 5) and participation in conferences (at least 5),
- work experience in the field of melting and casting of alloys and 3D printing, as well as knowledge of advanced methods of testing metals and alloys, including mechanical testing, evidenced by certificates, publications in international peer-reviewed journals or participation in placements/training courses/workshops/conferences/projects, etc.,
- good knowledge of CAD/CAM software,
- the candidate should demonstrate experience in carrying out research projects and work for industry,
- proficiency in spoken and written English at a minimum of B-2 level; for foreign nationals — documented proficiency in Polish at a minimum of C1 level,
- the ability to conduct scientific research and work within a research team, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism in work-related interactions
Additional requirements
- knowledge of mechanics and equipment design,
- knowledge of the operating principles of machinery and equipment used in foundry work, computerised numerical control (CNC) machining and 3D printers for plastics and metals,
- knowledge of metrology and the operating principles of measuring instruments used in foundry work,
- experience in conducting independent scientific research,
- documented patent activity.

The committee will select a candidate on the basis of the documents submitted and an interview.

The recruitment procedure is divided into two stages:
- formal assessment – assessment of the completeness of the application documents and compliance with the requirements specified in the Act, the AGH University Statute, and the competition announcement,
- substantive assessment – an objective and merit-based assessment of applications submitted by candidates who have successfully passed the previous stage; interviews with candidates may be conducted at this stage (either in person or remotely).
The candidate has the right to appeal against the competition results within 5 working days after receiving the notification.

The University reserves the right not to settle the competition without providing any reason or justification. Winning the competition is not tantamount to ensuring the candidate’s employment. The result of the competition serves solely as a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The final decision concerning the employment will be made by the Rector.
After the announcement of the competition results, the selected candidate is required to provide a certificate from the National Criminal Register (the certificate must be current, i.e. issued no earlier than 1 month prior to its submission to the AGH University) and is subject to verification in the Register of Sex Offenders – Restricted Access Register.
