Description (subject, requirements, comments)
The competition concerns the position of Assistant in the group of teaching staff at the Faculty of Telecommunications, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended). The Assistant will be responsible for conducting teaching classes in the form of tutorials, laboratory classes and project-based classes, with a teaching workload of at least 360 teaching hours per academic year. Classes will be conducted in both full-time and part-time study programmes, in accordance with the applicable timetable. The successful candidate will teach in the following degree programmes:
- Applied Computer Science,
- Cybersecurity and ICT,
- Telecommunications and Internet of Things Technologies.
Candidate requirements
Candidates are expected to possess knowledge and competences corresponding to the scope of the teaching activities, particularly in the following areas:
- machine learning,
- artificial intelligence,
- programming
Additional expectations
In addition to teaching duties, the successful candidate is expected to actively participate in the organisational activities of the Faculty, conduct scientific research and continuously develop their professional competences. The person appointed to the position will also participate in the organisation of the teaching process, in particular by:
- developing and preparing laboratory classes and teaching instructions,
- participating in activities promoting the Faculty.
The candidate is required to meet the following qualification criteria :
- Minimum of a master's degree (computer science, applied computer science, or related field);
- Programming experience in Python, C/C++;
- Experience in organizational and promotional activities at universities is a plus;
- proficiency in English sufficient to conduct classes for international students,
- in the case of foreigners, the command of the Polish language, spoken and written, is required to the extent that enables conducting classes with students.
