Maynooth University Library is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive library professional to lead the management and development of the Library's electronic and print subscriptions. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that students, researchers and staff have seamless access to the information resources they need to learn, teach and conduct world-class research.
The successful candidate will oversee the lifecycle of the Library's subscribed content, from acquisition and licensing to discovery, access and assessment. The role offers an opportunity to engage with publishers, library consortia and colleagues across the University to shape collections that support the University's academic mission and strategic priorities.
Appointed at Assistant Librarian II level, the post holder will contribute to the strategic management and development of the Library's collections and services, working collaboratively across teams to enhance access to scholarly resources, improve workflows and support evidence-informed decision-making. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent services to the University community.
Salary:
Assistant Librarian II (2026): €46,755– €65,594 p.a. (9 points)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
