Assistant Manager, Dean's Office (Edu- Audit) - (2 year contract)
Job Description
At NUS Medicine, we uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and academic excellence. The Deanery Audit function, mandated by the NUS Provost’s Office (PVO), provides independent oversight across education programmes to ensure compliance, strengthen governance, and support continuous improvement.
The Assistant Manager (Deanery Audit & Systems Enhancement) plays a school-wide role, partnering closely with the audit team and key stakeholders to review academic processes, systems, and controls. The role ensures programmes remain robust, compliant with NUS policies and regulatory requirements, and continuously improve in support of students, faculty, and future healthcare professionals.
This is a modern audit role, not a repetitive or manual assignment. You will combine rigorous audit practice with guided automation using the Microsoft Power Platform, making compliance smarter, easier to maintain, and less burdensome for stakeholders.
Who Will Excel and Enjoy This Role
You will have access to comprehensive hands-on training, paired working, ongoing mentoring, and Microsoft certifications from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Lead planning of audit engagements across undergraduate and postgraduate education programmes, including scope definition, risk assessment, timelines, and coordination.
- Oversee end-to-end audits of education processes, systems, and controls, personally handling higher-risk or complex areas where deeper professional judgment is required.

- Identify gaps and recommend practical, forward-looking corrective actions that strengthen governance and reduce future risk.
- Review and refine audit reports, summaries, and dashboards to ensure clarity, consistency, and strategic relevance.
- Translate audit findings into actionable recommendations for programme leaders and administrators.
- Lead follow-up reviews on agreed actions, monitor progress using structured trackers and dashboards, and support departments in closing gaps.
- Drive improvements that reduce repeat findings and embed sustainable good practices.
- Act as a trusted audit and governance advisor to programme leaders, administrators, and stakeholders.
- Support audit readiness, good governance practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across the School.
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of audit methodologies, templates, dashboards, and system-enabled workflows.
- Use Microsoft Power Platform tools to improve efficiency, transparency, and sustainability of audit and compliance processes.

- Strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; confident engaging and presenting to diverse stakeholders (academic, clinical, and administrative).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages) is advantageous. → No prior Power Platform experience needed — full training, and daily guidance provided.
