Responsibilities
- Design and implement training programmes (e.g. marketing, business planning, venture finance), as well as workshops and mentorship initiatives
- Identify technology startups with strong commercial potential for participation in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions
- Organise and manage innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and related events
- Proactively engage with faculty members and research teams to develop impact cases with commercialisation opportunities
- Conduct technical and commercial assessments of technology startups
- Support commercialisation activities and business development initiatives
- Devise and execute marketing campaigns through social media platforms and wider stakeholder networks
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
- A recognised degree in Sciences and Engineering with at least 5 years' experience
- Experience in a commercial setting, preferably within innovation and technology (I&T) startups, will be an advantage
- At least 3 years’ proven experience in project management or business development
- Familiarity with startup operations and the fundraising cycle
- Experience in managing partnerships and funding opportunities
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with local and regional entrepreneurial ecosystems and incubation models
- Outcome‑driven, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience in venture capital for early‑stage startups is a plus
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- Travelling and site visits may be occasionally required
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
