Job Description
The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is a student-facing department that supports and enhances the experience of NUS students and student life on campus. Within OSA, the Community Engagement and Integration (CEI) Division develops and delivers programmes that enable students to contribute meaningfully to the community, while supporting international students’ well-being and integration into the university and Singapore.
The candidate will play a key role in advancing student engagement and integration efforts within OSA, with a focus on supporting international students and scholarship holders in their transition, well-being, and participation in campus life. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, cross-cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate engagement and integration initiatives (e.g. Welcome Sessions, International Students Orientation Programme etc.) for students and scholarship holders to promote social integration and cross-cultural engagement. This includes end-to-end project delivery, outcome tracking, and support for student and scholarship holder co-leads.
- Build and sustain partnerships with students, faculty, residences, internal units, alumni, and community partners to strengthen and scale integration efforts across campus, faculty, and residential settings, including support for student-, faculty-, and residence-led initiatives and curated engagement opportunities.
- Provide coordination and advisory support to stakeholders (students, faculty, residence staff, and student groups) on integration initiatives; serve as a key point of contact for integration resources and funding; and develop toolkits and training resources to build integration capability.
- Support scholarship holders’ engagement and well-being by serving as care personnel and primary point of contact, addressing enquiries and issues, and facilitating referrals to relevant well-being and integration support.
- Provide guidance and support to student interest groups engaged in cultural, faith, and/or ethnic-based activities, as well as groups involved in integration efforts.
- Manage reporting, data, and evaluation for integration and scholarship programmes, including preparation and submission of MOE reports, data analysis, and presentation of quantitative and qualitative findings.
- Support operational and strategic priorities by maintaining records, contributing to workplan development with the Section Head, and collaborating on cross-functional projects and committees within OSA.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as social work, psychology, education
- At least 4 years of professional experience in youth/student development, or higher education and community development.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage concurrent tasks and deadlines with accuracy
- Resourceful, with excellent project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess situations and make informed decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in outcomes and impact measurement, Microsoft Office Suite, survey tools (such as Qualtrics), and online communication platforms.
