Job Description

Provides operational management and supervises employees in the centralized Pre-Prep area servicing Dining Services' facilities and cash operations within established guidelines. Responsibilities include supervision of staff production, counseling, training and development, safety and sanitation, quality control, customer satisfaction, utilization of an automated food service system (FoodPro), and the security and maintenance of the facility and equipment. Ensures all policies and procedures are followed. Create performance plans and complete evaluations for salaried direct reports.

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge of commercial kitchen and food service operations.
• Supervision and management experience in food service production and large quantity cooking using standard recipes and procedures.
• Experience operating all general and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safe food handling practices and food sanitation.
• ServSafe certification and HACCP certification desired.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and excellent customer service skills, and food sanitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience using computers including Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and automated food inventory systems.
