Position Description
Assists a manager with the management of a sub unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures. Represents the sub unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.
Major/Essential Functions
- Manage staff, prepare work schedules/determine staff requirements, and assign duties. Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation. 20%
- Interview, hire, and train new employees and develop existing staff. 20%
- Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, freshness, and food presentation. Ensure that food is prepared in accordance with food safety guidelines and presented in an acceptable manner. 20%
- Maintain food inventories and keep inventory records. 20%
- Order and receive food and beverage deliveries, check delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity. Thorough knowledge of food safety preparation, including temperatures, hold times, cross-contamination, etc.20%
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with some supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal four years.

$17.69 - $22.98 - $28.32
