Job Description:
- To assist the head coach in providing leadership, organization
and supervision of the men's lacrosse program. To assist with
organizing the program in a manner that supports the mission of
Fitchburg State University and the philosophy of the Athletics
Department.
Develop knowledge of and abide by current NCAA, MASCAC or other
affiliated conferences, rules and regulations regarding recruiting,
eligibility and sport-specific rules concerning practice and
playing seasons.
Maintain knowledge of current sport game rules and changes to
those rules as they occur.
Assist the head coach with all phases of the organization of
the program as requested by the head coach, including practice
planning, contest management, recruiting, fundraising, and other
responsibilities.
Maintain record of program-related hours worked in order to
comply with contracted maximum number of hours allowed as per the
Fair Labor Standards Act.
Conduct oneself in an ethical manner during practices and
contests and demand appropriate behavior from all team
personnel.
Represent the program at department meetings and functions in
the absence of the head coach.
Other duties as requested.

- Preferred Qualifications:
- College playing and coaching experience in the sport applying
for.
- Demonstrated understanding of sport rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III philosophy, recruiting, rules
and regulations.
Additional Information:
This is a part-time, non-benefited position and the salary range
for this position based on duties and hours is $1,000-$5,500.
