Provide accurate, engaging and informative commentary throughout each assigned contest.

Prepare relevant notes, statistics, rosters and other background information about each participating team prior to the contest.

Maintain neutral and professional commentary while demonstrating respect for all participating teams.

Comply with all applicable NCAA Division II and Gulf South Conference rules, regulations and policies.

Interact professionally with officials, coaches, student-athletes, University personnel and spectators.

Assist with broadcast production as needed, including switching between camera angles when necessary.

Work collaboratively with the AUM Athletics game management and broadcast team to ensure a smooth and professional production.

Arrive at the venue approximately 30 minutes to one hour prior to the scheduled contest to prepare for the broadcast, confirm equipment is functioning properly and ensure interviews and other broadcast elements are loaded and ready.

Remain on site until the conclusion of each assigned event.

Maintain reliable attendance and availability for evening and weekend events.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing play-by-play commentary for video streams at an NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, AHSAA or AISA institution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Two (2) years of experience as a play-by-play commentator at an NCAA institution.

• Knowledge of applicable University, NCAA and Gulf South Conference rules, practices and procedures.
• Strong verbal communication, public speaking and storytelling skills.
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
