Position Summary

Coach, recruit, and provide operational support to the Men’s Basketball program. This position will be the liaison and campus contact for Men’s Basketball.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Understand and agree to abide by the mission of CBU and the CBU Athletics Department.
Assist with coaching at practice and during games.
Coordinate with other departments to facilitate player recruitment and other player related concerns.
Create and manage recruiting mail-outs and contacts.
Assist the head coach in organizing practice and game schedules.
Assist in managing scholarship requests and other required institutional and NCAA forms through the university’s compliance software.
Assist in the management of class schedules, book vouchers, and academic progress for student-athletes.
Organize and arrange all team travel, which includes managing budget and credit card reconciliations.
Organize and account for all team equipment, including ordering, check out and storage.
Manage social media sites, coordinate community service events, and be a coordinator for summer camp.
Serve as facilities liaison and work with Events Center Facilities Director on Men’s Basketball team and visiting team needs.
Participate in organization and execution of basketball practices, scouting reports, individual workouts, and break down film from our own team.
Adhere to all conference and NCAA rules, pass annual NCAA recruiting test.
Attend all department compliance meetings.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and a minimum of two years experience coaching at the NCAA Division I level; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
