- REMUNERATION:
- basic salary: 6215 PLN/month,
- seniority allowance (granted at 1% of the basic salary for each year of employment. The allowance is paid monthly starting from the fourth year of employment; however, it may not exceed 20% of the basic salary),
- jubilee award for long service,
- additional annual remuneration (the so-called “13th salary”),
- Rector’s award (employees may receive this for professional achievements, in an amount determined by the Rector),
- the employee and other eligible persons are entitled to benefits from the Social Benefits Fund (depending on income per family member, in accordance with the Fund Regulations and current plan, including: employee benefits such as individual tourist/holiday leave allowances, autumn-winter benefit; benefits for employees’ children, including individual holidays for children and school starter kits for children aged 1–18).

- DESCRIPTION (scope, expectations, remarks): Conducting design-based classes for courses offered by the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture, particularly in the fields of spatial planning and the use of tools and software supporting urban design. A very good command of GIS systems and specialized software used in spatial planning and spatial analysis is required. Responsibilities will also include conducting research in the fields of urban design, spatial planning, and urban spatial development, as well as publishing research findings in national and international scientific journals.
Candidates for the above position should:
- hold a Master’s degree in Geodesy and Spatial Planning from a technical university;
- have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.5 for second-cycle (Master’s level) studies;
- demonstrate proficiency in software essential for spatial planning work (e.g., QGIS, EWmapa, EWopis, ArcGIS, Turbomapa) as well as AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Archicad;
- demonstrate experience in operational urban design;
- possess skills in acquiring and processing spatial data and conducting spatial analyses;
- demonstrate knowledge of issues related to remote sensing, photogrammetry, or spatial modelling;
- demonstrate knowledge of legal regulations concerning spatial planning and development, geodesy, and real estate management;
- possess additional qualifications in the form of completed courses in urban design;
- have experience in conducting classes in the field of spatial planning;
- demonstrate experience in research work, evidenced by presentations at scientific conferences and seminars;
- meet the requirements specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended) and in the Statute of the Rzeszów University of Technology of 27 June 2019 (consolidated text of 20 March 2025);
- knowledge of English language at very good;
- knowledge of Polish language at native.
Scope of duties:
In accordance with Article 115 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended) and the Work Regulations of the Rzeszów University of Technology introduced by Rector’s Ordinance No. 40/2019 of 16 September 2019, as amended.

Place for submission of documents:
Documents should be submitted to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture at Rzeszów University of Technology, Poznańska 2, 35-084 Rzeszów (Building P, room P-135).
The person selected through the competition who will be assigned tasks related to activities covered by the protection of minors, will be required to submit information and declarations in accordance with Article 21 of the Act of 13 May 2016 on Counteracting Threats of Sexual Crime and the Protection of Minors (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2024, item 1802, as amended).
The Rzeszów University of Technology reserves the right to close the recruitment process without selecting a candidate.
A positive recommendation of the competition committee constitutes the basis for initiating employment proceedings at the University in accordance with the procedure specified in the Statute of the Rzeszów University of Technology. The final decision on employment is taken by the Rector.
The selected candidate will be notified in writing of the outcome of the competition.
