The Dean of the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University announces a recruitment process for the position of Assistant or Assistant Professor or Lecturer at the Department of History of State and Law.

Employment: fixed-term contract for 3 years
Working hours: 2 x 20 hours per week

Your duties will include:
- teaching on courses primarily focused on Roman law within accredited degree programmes and lifelong learning programmes, including the preparation of teaching materials,
- research activities, including publishing and applied research,
- making a significant contribution to project work and contract research,
- contributing to the organisational and administrative aspects of research and teaching activities.
We require:
- a completed Master’s degree from a law faculty, specialising in Law,
- a Ph.D. (for the position of Assistant Lecturer),
- the ability to teach and publish in the Czech language,
- a genuine interest in the field of Roman law,
- information regarding concurrent employment within the meaning of Section 70 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions, as amended,
- the ability to teach independently in the field of Roman law in both Czech and English, ideally with experience of teaching at university level,
- the ability to conduct independent research in the field of Roman law in Czech and English, ideally demonstrated by relevant academic publications or participation in research projects,
- good character.
