The Department of Political Science at the University of Houston invites applications for two faculty positions in American Politics at the Assistant or Associate Professor ranks to begin Fall 2027. We seek applicants whose research and teaching interests focus broadly on American Politics and are open to specialty. consideration will be given to those whose research agendas will add to the department’s existing strengths in this subfield and have potential for collaboration with a variety of current faculty. Successful candidates should have extensive methodological training, demonstrated excellence in scholarly research and publication, and a clear commitment to teaching. Salary and rank commensurate with experience. Applicants much have a PhD in Political Science. Appointments at the tenured Associate Professor rank must have a record of research, teaching, and service consistent with the bylaws of the Department of Political Science for promotion to associate professor with tenure.
