Assistant or Associate Professor and NSERC Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Ecohydrology
The University of Guelph invites applications for a tenure-track NSERC Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Ecohydrology. Nominees for Tier 2 Chair positions must be emerging scholars, at a minimum assistant or associate professors, or possess the necessary qualifications. Tier 2 Chairs are tenable for five years and renewable once, for exceptional emerging scholars active in their field for fewer than 10 years at nomination.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Hydrology, Ecosystem Science, or a related discipline, with potential for international recognition in ecohydrology and strong leadership potential. Applicants more than 10 years from their highest degree may have eligibility assessed via the Tier 2 justification process. Candidates must demonstrate research creativity, potential for international recognition, ability to attract and retain trainees, and propose an innovative research program.
The position requires developing a federally and provincially funded research program, mentoring students, teaching ecohydrology courses, and collaborating with colleagues in SES and other partners. Faculty provide service to the University and community. SES is a multidisciplinary unit with advanced facilities and research links.
