"Assistant or Associate Professor in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, TEFL, or Digital Humanities"

The Department of Education and English at New Uzbekistan University is inviting applications for several positions at the assistant or associate professor level in the fields of Applied Linguistics, or TESOL, TEFL. We welcome candidates specializing in TESOL, or Digital Humanities. We seek highly qualified individuals who are committed to a career in research and teaching. The appointments will begin in August 2026.

Candidates for an assistant professor position are required to hold a Ph.D. in English or a closely related field before the start of the appointment. Candidates for an associate professor position should demonstrate a proven research record in related disciplines and an interest in institution building.

Preferred candidates will have:

• PhD in a relevant field from a reputed University
• Native-level English proficiency (e.g., native speaker or demonstrably equivalent proficiency in academic and professional contexts)
• Experience in international or cross-cultural higher education settings

Job is full time, in Tashkent.
