Assistant or Associate Professor in Cybersecurity
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in cybersecurity.
Applications are invited from candidates with research expertise in applied information security across software, systems, and hardware layers, addressing real-world threats in computing environments, including AI and agentic systems. Expertise may include system security, hardware security, secure architectures, embedded and IoT security, or protection of AI workloads and data pipelines.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Experience in effectively communicating the results of research. Licensure as a Professional Engineer or Licensee in Alberta required within five years.
