This position is part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).
The successful candidate will be offered a tenured or tenure-track appointment with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, which is in accordance with the Academic Faculty Agreement, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in integrated circuits engineering.
Applications are invited from candidates with research expertise in integrated circuits, including but not limited to the following areas:
- Energy-efficient mixed-signal and RFIC design,
- Sub-THz and mm-wave circuits and systems for high-speed wireless/wireline communication links (5G/6G and beyond, 100-400 Gbps links),
- Integrated circuits, including neuromorphic chips, for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and edge computing,
- Ultra-low-power circuits for IoT applications,
- Circuits for biomedical, wireless power, and sensing applications,
- Interface circuits for quantum computers,
- Hardware security and trusted IC design, and
- System-in-Package (SiP) and advanced IC packaging technologies.
