Assistant or Associate Professor - Information Systems
Miami University invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Information Systems to teach technical and/or managerial courses in information systems starting Fall 2027. Current department faculty members will be talking to interested candidates at AMCIS.
The successful candidate will teach courses in the Information Systems & Cybersecurity Management (ISCM) program, maintain an active research agenda that results in publications in top-tier information systems journals; contribute to the growth of the Information Systems and Cybersecurity Management (ISCM) program; advise students; provide service to the institution and profession; and engage with the business community.
The Information Systems & Analytics (ISA) department at Miami University offers academic programs that integrate the fields of Information Systems, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity Management, and Artificial Intelligence for Business.
Minimum Requirements
Required: Doctorate in information systems or a closely related field by the date of appointment (or must be completed by December 31, 2027, for appointment to a second year), with prior experience in teaching information systems courses in a business school environment for appointment as an Assistant Professor. For appointment as an Associate Professor, applicants must also demonstrate excellence in research, with publications in high-quality journals in information systems and a strong teaching portfolio in information systems.
