We are particularly interested in candidates who can interface with any of our other major areas of research in syntax, sounds, psycholinguistics, cognitive science, computational linguistics, language documentation, historical linguistics, sign language linguistics, or sociolinguistics. Duties will include research, service, and teaching linguistics courses at all levels (lower- and upper-division undergraduate, and graduate) and training the next generation of researchers working on semantics and pragmatics. Qualifications Applicants at the Assistant Professor level must have completed all the requirements for the PhD in linguistics, cognitive science, or related subfield by time of appointment. A PhD in linguistics, cognitive science, or related subfield is required for consideration at the rank of Associate Professor.
