LEHIGH UNIVERSITY. The Department of Education and Human Services, Special Education Program invites applications for a tenured/tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Special Education with a specialization in autism and Applied Behavior Analysis, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027.
The individual hired will be expected to teach online courses in Behavior Analysis at the graduate level; engage in scholarly and research translation activities; further develop the research program at Lehigh University Autism Services; and participate in departmental, college, and university service. The successful candidate also will be expected to pursue external funding.
Lehigh University Autism Services provides high quality therapeutic services for young autistic children residing in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. Services are based on the science of applied behavior analysis and pivotal response treatment and rely on evidence-based interventions. In addition to providing services, the autism center conducts research aimed to improve intervention practices and provides training and BCBA supervision.

Qualifications
Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in special education, behavior analysis, or a closely related field and hold Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA) certification by the date of employment. Candidates must have expertise in autism, an established line of research, and experience teaching in higher education as an instructor of record. Candidates also must have clinical experience as a BCBA and/or Pre K-12 teaching experience.
