Offer Description
Qualifications and competencies required of candidates applying for the position:
- Master degree in the field of biological science or Archaeology.
- Knowledge in field of biology with interest in archaeobotany, palaeoenvironmental research and ecology of plants.
- Participation in scientific projects (as scientific staff, not only a technical support).
- Scientific output including publications indexing by Clarivate Analytics (preferably in Q1).
- Preferred experience in archaeobotanical analysis (proven ability to identify macroscopic plant remains of fruits, seeds and wood charcoal) and knowledge of methods using in the analysis of charred plant remains (carpology and anthracology). Advantage will be experience with the work at archaeological excavations, especially taking into account an application of the sampling strategy for archaeobotanical material.
- Documented participation in national or international scientific conferences.
- Willingness to work in a team and to undertake scientific expeditions, foreign internship, and develop competences through participation in training.
- Very good knowledge of English and at least good knowledge of Polish.

Eligibility criteria
Scope of duties
The employee will primarily analyze macroscopic plant remains, mainly charred ones preserved in the form of fruits, seeds and wood charcoals, coming from archaeological sites in Poland and Europe. Also, the employee will participate in the research and organizational work of the team and Group IV.
