Assistant Principal - Curriculum and Quality

The Assistant Principal – Curriculum and Quality will work with and manage the Heads of Schools to ensure that the management of these areas accords with the expectations and aspirations of the College, particularly that our students enjoy a high-quality experience at the College and achieve high standards of success.

The post is a critical leadership position, thus outstanding leadership and management skills are required to ensure that staff are effectively supported, directed and that their performance is managed so that students can achieve their full potential. Emphasis will be placed on a driving ambition for our students achieving their aspirations through inspired leadership of the curriculum and services for students.

Self-evaluation and the ability to develop and maintain a performance management culture is vital to this role together with the ability to propose and actively participate in initiatives that support the College’s drive for excellence.

Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group (HRUC) and is one of London’s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old’s and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and a brand-new technology-focused STEM Centre in 2024.

This exciting and innovative new learning environment is located within the grounds of the current college site, so remains convenient for public transport links – it is adjacent to the A316 and just a short walk from Twickenham rail station and a number of regular London bus routes.
