Assistant Professor, Academic Clinician Track
Description
The Yale School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Section of General Medicine. This will be in a clinical practice at New Haven Primary Care Consortium, a patient-centered medical home academic adult primary care and the main site for the traditional Internal Medicine residents ambulatory training. Primary responsibilities are management of a primary care panel of patients, conducting in-person clinic sessions as well as telehealth sessions, as well as all administrative work associated with the clinical practice. Teaching responsibilities include precepting in resident clinic, supervising and evaluating a team of the residents, and teaching medical students in the ambulatory practice. Up to 4 weeks of inpatient attending on a resident team is required. Participation in the care of the NHPCC team on-call coverage in rotation as well as attendance at regular meetings of the NHPCC clinical team and participation in projects to improve quality of care. Participation in the academic activities of the Section of General Internal Medicine. Opportunities exist for other educational and scholarly work depending on the interest of the faculty member.
Qualifications
ABIM Board-Certified, Internal Medicine with interest/expertise in office-based practice.
