Offer Description
The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics, with the consent of the Rector of the University of Warsaw, announces a competition for the position of Assistant Professor (adiunkt) in the group of teaching staff in the field of Italian linguistics.

Skills/Qualifications
- Meeting the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Act – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, consolidated text);
- Master’s degree in applied linguistics with Italian language or in Italian philology,
- PhD degree in the humanities in the field of linguistics; specialisation: glottodidactics of Italian (Italian language teaching methodology);
- Teaching experience, including in teaching Italian as a foreign language and glottodidactics;
- Fluent command of Italian at C2 level;
- Command of Polish at a minimum of C1 level.

- PhD diploma in the field of the humanities in the discipline of linguistics
- information on teaching experience at a higher education institution;

Additional Information
Eligibility criteria
- PhD degree in the humanities in the field of linguistics, specialisation: glottodidactics of Italian;
- Master’s degree in applied linguistics with Italian language or in Italian philology,
- Fluent command of Italian (C2);
- Command of Polish at a minimum of C1 level;
- knowledge of a second foreign language at a minimum of C1 level (certified by a diploma) will be an additional asset
- Teaching experience at university level, including in teaching Italian as a foreign language and/or glottodidactics;
- publications in foreign language didactics and participation in teaching-related conferences will be an additional asset
Selection process
The Selection Committee will short-list candidates who will be invited for interview. The interviews will be held online between 23.11.- 31.12.2026
Please note that this call is the first stage of the recruitment procedure for the position of Assistant professor specified in the University of Warsaw Statute. Its positive conclusion will be the basis for further proceedings. Only the short-listed candidates will be invited to an online interview.
