Offer Description
The Rector of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences announces an open competition for the position of Assistant Professor (Adiunkt) in the group of teaching staff at the Department of Human Nutrition.
Job Description
- Preparing and conducting classes in human nutrition and dietetics, mainly focusing on sports dietetics, nutrition of physically active people, functional foods, sports supplementation, nutritional status assessment, and nutritional planning in sports, incorporating current trends and innovative teaching methods, conducted in Polish and English (including online teaching techniques);
- Supervising diploma theses (bachelor's/master's) in human nutrition and dietetics;
- Applying for external funding for educational projects;
- Participating in educational projects carried out at the university and faculty levels;
- Participating in national and international scientific conferences and symposia;
- Participating in workshops and training sessions to continuously improve professional and pedagogical competencies;
- Engaging in research work aligned with the profile of the conducted teaching classes;
- Performing organizational duties for the department and the university;
- Carrying out other tasks assigned by the Head of the Department resulting from the profile and nature of the unit and the university.
Requirements for Candidates:
- PhD degree (or equivalent) in Medical Sciences, Health Sciences, or Food Technology and Nutrition;
- Higher education (Master's level) in dietetics and/or human nutrition and dietetics;
- Proven experience in teaching in the fields of sports dietetics, exercise physiology, functional foods, supplementation, and personalized nutrition planning (including project-based classes);
- Proficiency in using specialized dietary software;
- Fluency in Polish (spoken and written);
- Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level;
- Fulfillment of the conditions set out in Art. 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018:
- Full public rights;
- Full legal capacity;
- No conviction by a final judgment for an intentional crime or an intentional fiscal crime;
- Has not been subjected to a disciplinary penalty of dismissal from employment at a university with a ban on working at universities for a period of 6 months to 5 years or deprivation of the right to practice as an academic teacher for a period of 10 years.
Desirable Criteria (Nice to have):
- Documented participation in specialized workshops and training sessions improving teaching competencies and professional qualifications will be an advantage.

- Remuneration package consisting of: basic salary (not less than PLN 8,211 gross), seniority allowance (3–20%), additional annual salary ("13th salary"), holiday subsidies, and other variable components resulting from the Remuneration Regulations of UPWr;
